Sharon Yost Estate Sales is the service people need when there is  a loss of a family member, retirement, or relocation. When my staff and I come into a home, my service is as one coming alongside to help. Many times, when the remaining family finds themselves facing a generation or several  generations   of    possessions, household  contents,  and  collections  of  different natures,  the  “mountain”  facing  them  can  be overwhelming. They wonder at what should be done and where to start.

The dilemma is also time  and   distance. Many do not have the time, live too far away or even out of state, to  thoroughly accomplish  the needed downsizing and dispersing of an estate. Others just can’t emotionally handle the enormity of what stands before them, or the loss they have just suffered. Some just want it dealt with. This is where we come in.

Our services include on site organizing, displaying, advertising in three to five newspapers, selling at a two to five day in-house sale, and then when it is all finished, listing and packaging up all the remaining possessions for the charities of your choice. You are given an itemized list for all items sold, no matter how small the item, and a donation list of each item given to a charity with a value attached with a receipt.

My staff is efficient, thorough and friendly. We are all sensitive to the emotional needs of people when going through this phase of one’s life, or closing of a chapter in another. I am present at all sales and my staff works closely with me to see that what needs to be done, gets done.

Our staff is honest, courteous, hard workers who are supplementing their incomes. No one in my staff are antique dealers or collectors who collect for themselves. We do not have a retail shop, therefore we are working for you in more of a stewardship role.

The goal for each sale is to close down each household and realize the highest prices for every item that is for sale. We have a mailing list of over 1800 contacts  which we have developed over the years. We will travel anywhere in California, the United States, and some foreign countries.
